A WINNER

Our ninth week has come to a conclusion and the location was Bella Luna Restaurant & Milky Way Lounge, a truly fabulous Jamaica Plain institution. With a rich history of serving Jamaica Plain, its fare is delicious, atmosphere is fun, and entertainment some of the best in the area. Parking is a breeze. The popularity of the brewery complex is in large part because of Bella Luna. It's one of our favorite places to enjoy a night out.

Comics

Comics is a visual medium used to express ideas via images, often combined with text or visual information. Comics frequently takes the form of juxtaposed sequences ofpanels of images. Often textual devices such as speech balloons, captions, and sound effects ("onomatopoeia") indicate dialogue, narration, or other information. Elements such as size and arrangement ...OH FORGET IT! Check out this comic strip:

Maxfield & Company is a series of cartoons that we ran in the Jamaica Plain Gazette in the late 1990's.  The subject is, you guessed it, a real estate agency and many of the local attractions in Jamaica Plain. It was written by a former Boston Pops bass player and comic writer,Justin Locke and written and illustrated by a former MassArt student, Christian O'Brien. 

We will maintain the history of these 'toons on our blog posts.

Our seventh week has come to a conclusion and the location was The Haven, the only Scottish pub in Boston and the finest in all of New England. And it's right here in JP! Great food, great libation, great atmosphere. Stop in for the experience; you won't regret it. 

Congratulations to Robin Radin, winner for week 7 and the first contestant to win for a second week.  
Robin is a local photographer and, like many of you, has an eye for details and knows JP very well.
